This weekend is a special weekend for me and my extended family. The 4th of July has always been a time for family gatherings and reunions as it was my father’s birthday. He use to tell me they invented fireworks just so he could celebrate his birthday in a big way! He loved fireworks!

Two years ago on July 3rd my mother died. Caring for her in the last years of her life spawned my book Caring for Mom which I released this year.
