Here We Go Again!
Can another year really have passed since last year’s Senior Homes.com Senior Living Award? Aging Abundantly has received a nomination for Best Senior Living Blogs by Individuals 2014 for the 4th year in a row and once again I am honored. I remember when Senior Homes just a fledgling presence on the caregivers/aging scene and now they have created a viable and respected presence, in no small part from honoring the work and dedication of smaller venues like mine.
Sometimes I worry that it smacks of “advertising” and I feel like a pawn in a campaign to improve their business. But each year I get excited about the awards, not just for the exposure my work receives as a result, but because I can jump in and vote for those people in all areas of Senior Living and Care that I admire and value. I also have the opportunity to discover new resources and websites that I may have overlooked as I work away in more little corner of cyberspace.
So, if you have a chance, hop on over to the Senior Living website and take a look at all the nominees for this year’s awards. There are many categories, and I believe they have added some new ones. In addition, if you know of someone who is not on the list, feel free to nominate them for this award and encourage your friends to vote for them. I have a few in mind myself this year.
